SINOPSIS
​
Edward dan alphonse elric yang lebih dikenal sebagai ed dan al alkemis remaja adalah masa lalu dengan tragis .Ketika edward sebelas tahun , alphonse dan hanya sepuluh , kedua bersaudara itu mencoba mengajak mereka kembali ke kehidupan ibu mati .Usaha mereka gagal , alphonse biaya seluruh tubuhnya , dan edward kaki kirinya .Dengan putus asa mencoba untuk menjaga saudaranya di bumi , edward rela mengorbankan lengan kanannya dalam pertukaran untuk alphonse jiwa itu .Edward terikat al jiwa untuk sebuah baju besi .Al kemudian dilarikan ke tubuh ed rockbell automail , sebuah perusahaan yang dikelola oleh teman dekat dari elrics .Di sana , edward lengan dan kaki yang diganti dengan ‘ automail ‘ logam dunia prostetik yang bertindak seolah-olah mereka betul-betul menjadi anggota badan manusia , yang melekat pada tubuh melalui proses operasi dan rehabilitasi yang luar biasa .Kakak beradik yang menghanguskan rumah mereka sehingga mereka tidak akan pernah mundur dari jalan mereka memilih kehidupan mengembara sampai mereka dapat mengembalikan tubuh asli mereka .Roy mustang meyakinkan edward untuk mengambil negara
